Petrozavodsk State University is among 22 universities who won the second stage of the Flagship University Contest.

On April 17, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia announced the results of the 2nd stage of the open public competition for Flagship University Development Program. A Flagship University is the one that has the pivotal role in industrial and social and economic development of the regions of the Russian Federation. The Development Program is aimed at creation research and educational clusters with a focus on the needs of regional economics and labour market.
