Innovative units of PetrSU participated in the project competition "Research and development on priority directions of scientific and technological complex of Russia for 2014-2020", announced in March 2014.

PetrSU filed five applications in a number of priority areas including "Information systems", "Environmental management" and "Energy efficiency, energy conservation, nuclear energy." In June of 2014, two PetrSU IT projects were among the winners of the section "Competitive selection of three-year applied research aimed at creating products and technologies on "Information systems " in the framework of 1.2 "Research to create areas of scientific and technological backlog. "

In this section of 197 projects from Russian universities, there were 20 winner projects, of which 2 belong to IT-park of PetrSU:

1. Development of new technology of high accuracy local positioning based on RealTrac technology.
2. Development of intellectualization of localized Internet computing environments of physical devices for constructing personalized and proactive delivery services.

Each project will receive funding amounting to 26 million rubles for 3 years of the project.

The total funding for the 2 projects will equal 52 million rubles for 3 years.
